Colin Moreland


Came to Australia in 1980 after a period of time contracting in New Zealand initially working in New South Wales and the ACT hand falling and using skidders. Set up in Mt Gambier after the 1983 Ash Wednesday fires.

Started work in the Green Triangle with 4 had fallers a skidder a loader and some sub contracting trucks.

In 1984 he started a thinning operation, again hand falling, but then purchased two harvesting machines. Today Moreland holdings has operate 17B Doubles, 15 harvesters  & 10 forwarders harvesting between 450 & 500,000 Cubic Metres per annum. They have a reputation of service safety innovation and customer Satisfaction
